JITNEY, IN THE OLD VIC THEATRE
This story takes place in 1970s in Pittsburgh. A group of unlicensed cab drivers are chatting in their call centre. From their conversation, we start to learn about their lives, their characters.
It might be a bit hard to understand in the first 20 minutes. It is at least for me. But the punch line in these 20 minutes would keep you entertained. Then the story would go a bit funnier, a bit tenser, and a bit heavier as the show continues.
I think the story will definitely connect with some audiences even though I cannot related to it. The acting from the cast is above average and the stage set is above average.
If you are into plays, I would recommend this one when you got one evening and no plans.
